Marti has been working in the field of speech pathology for over 25 years. Her passion is working with children who have special and/or severe developmental needs. Marti received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Oregon State University and a Master of Science degree at California State University , Fullerton.

For 19 years, Marti worked as a Speech Pathologist in the public school systems proving speech therapy as well as specialized consulting for classrooms.

After working in the education system, Marti established Baio Enterprises, Inc. to offer therapy for children with special needs with an emphasis on children with autism.

Baio Enterprises is well known for Marti's innovative approach to children's/young adult's needs especially in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Marti and the therapists at Baio Enterprises approach therapy by focusing on Play, Engagement, and Pragmatics (P.E.P) based on Floortime and R.D.I. techniques. Located in Phoenix 's East Valley , the Baio office is set up to provide services such as speech, occupational, and physical therapy, as well as group therapy focusing on social interaction skills with their peers.
